GrandStay Hotel & Suites Rock Valley

What a great GEM I came across in my travels!!! New, extravagantly nice, and finally a hot bubbly tub to ease my fricken muscles!! I’m used to the hot tub every day!!!! Day 10 finally “ Just 5 more min Dad!!!” I travel for work and was so surprised to find a place to stay in Rock Valley!

We stayed a couple of years ago and came back to the area and there was no question where to stay. We arrived late and staff was accommodating. Breakfast was good, the rooms were clean and the staff was very pleasant! We would definitely stay again and would recommend!

A gem in the middle of nowhere and thank goodness. All hotels in the area were booked so we found this on line and went with the reviews and glad we did. Clean room, courteous staff, good breakfast and priced well. If I am in the area I will make it a point to stay here.

My husband and I stayed 1 night at the Grandstay Hotel and suites in Rock Valley, Iowa. We were attending a birthday party. The room was large and very clean. this is a newer facility and there is a large parking lot with the hotel. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and made a point to tell us about their "pantry" which would have any items we have forgotten to bring with us. They also serve some alcoholic beverages and will make pizzas. She also pointed out the swimming pool and hot tub. We did not use these but I'm sure they were satisfactory. The breakfast in the morning included scrambled eggs and some sort of sliced sausage. There was also bagels, muffins, the usual waffle maker, Greek yogurt, cups of fruit, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Also fruit bars, granola bars and string cheese. Milk and cereal and bread to toast. Orange Juice & apple juice. the lady who checked us out, inquired as to how our stay was and hoped that it was wonderful. She invited us to stay again, if we are in the area. If another birthday party is held in Rock Valley for our friend, we will certain choose this hotel for our overnight stay. The lady who checked us in, also was helpful in telling us directions to the venue where the birthday party would be held. My husband uses a CPAP machine and he was pleased to find an electrical outlet right by the bed. Due to his CPAP usage, we always choose a room with 2 queen beds since he sleeps in an upright position.

This is a consistently clean and well kept hotel. We regularly come here and every time they exceed our expectations. Staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Rooms are always spotless. Plenty of clean towels and beds made every day. Pool area and bar/breakfast area are also both clean and well kept.

What a great hotel. It's in a remote area of Iowa situated outside of Rock Valley near a thriving industrial complex. I like everything about this property. The employees were kind, helpful and engaged. The rooms were clean. We asked about food options for dinner and the person helping us was honest. She said their was very little available in Rock Valley especially later in the evening. Because of that she said that some food including pizza is routinely made available. What a great service!
